Adelaide has successfully delivered major events including LIV Golf and the Adelaide Fringe. However, Turkey remains a strong contender, with advantages including strategic location, modern infrastructure, and its 2053 Net-Zero target aligned with global climate priorities.

Climate Urgency

Dr. Pep Canadell, Executive Director of the Global Carbon Project and CSIRO Chief Research Scientist, delivered urgent messaging about climate escalation — presenting data indicating that global sea levels are rising faster than previously modelled, driven by accelerating ice loss in Greenland and Antarctica.
