As I reflect on Hubble's whirlwind journey from its inception to the pioneering force it has become in the property industry, I'm compelled to share the incredible ride we've been on and how Stone & Chalk at Lot Fourteen has been instrumental in our growth. My passion for technology and energy efficiency has always been at the core of my personal and professional endeavours. Winning a national competition at 21 by merging technology with medical diagnostics was just the beginning. Yet, it wasn't until the GovHack hackathon in 2017 that the true potential of my passions began to crystallize into what would become Hubble. Winning first prize for a project that used blockchain to create a digital passport and a chatbot powered by Watson technology to educate on energy efficiency, I saw a clear path to marrying my two loves: technology and environmental sustainability.
Stone and Challk growth programs and incubator initiatives were tailor-made for startups like Hubble, seeking not just to scale but to innovate and disrupt. Community networking events became our battleground for new ideas, feedback, and forging partnerships that would later prove pivotal in our journey.
Perhaps most crucially, Stone & Chalk gave us access to mentors, investors, and a community of like-minded entrepreneurs who shared our vision and challenges. This environment was about cohabitation, collaboration, and learning from successes and failures.
With Stone & Chalk's support, Hubble has grown from an idea to a leader in energy-efficient property solutions. Our achievements, from helping build Australia's most energy-efficient home to winning the Proptech Awards for the most innovative startup, are testaments to the relentless pursuit of our mission. Recognising as a finalist for the "embracing innovation" category in SA at the Telstra Best of Business Awards 2023 further validates our efforts and trajectory.
Looking ahead, Hubble is poised for an even more significant impact. Our plans to deepen our engagement with the building materials supply chain and expand our footprint beyond Australia and New Zealand are ambitious but achievable. With the continued support of Stone & Chalk and the vibrant community at Lot Fourteen, the possibilities are boundless.
Sharing our story reminds me of the power of support, community, and innovation in turning visions into realities. Hubble’s journey is far from over, but our path has been undeniably shaped by the catapulting force of Stone & Chalk’s services at Lot Fourteen. To fellow entrepreneurs, dreamers, and innovators, I extend an invitation to join us on this journey—not just in supporting Hubble but in fostering a future where technology and sustainability converge for the betterment of our homes and planet.
